The 2009-2010 School Year is off to
a fantastic start!Dear This is a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 4 is an Early Release Day- school day ends 2 hours early and dismissal will follow the pattern of the regular school day, but begin at 1:45 PM. Conference Preference forms were handed out last week. Conferences will be scheduled on Wednesday 11/4. If you did not turn in a preference sheet you will be given an open time slot that is available. Do you have children that need glasses? If you don’t have insurance or your insurance coverage does not include corrective lenses, the school nurse may be able to help. Please contact Carol Grady, at 651-293-8745. St. Paul Public Schools are committed to removing absenteeism as a barrier to students’ achievement, promotion, graduation, self-esteem, and employment potential. Therefore, each school will follow school district and Ramsey County guidelines for students out of compliance with school district attendance procedures.
Sheridan School will follow
the procedures and the identified interventions listed below: after 3, 5, 7 and 10 unexcused absences: 3 Unexcused
Absences: Alert Letter, Mandatory Parent
contact by phone 5 Unexcused
Absences: Referral to TIP (Truancy
Intervention Program)/Meeting with County Attorney 7 Unexcused
Absences: Parent and Attendance team
meet & sign attendance contract. 10 Unexcused
Absences: SART hearing with County

New Sheridan Members Sao Yang serves as our new social worker. He is on site Thursday & Fridays. Carol Grady is our school nurse. She is at Sheridan every Tuesday & Friday.
Deb Sima works with our pre-school students and in the RTI program in the afternoons. Jeanne Badman works with our pre-school students in the mornings. Adrianne Vanderborght is teaching 3rd grade this year. David Hinrichs is the vocal music teacher. Scott Reeve is the Instrumental Music
Teacher, here on Tuesdays. | ||||
