Sheridan Elementary has two first grade classrooms taught by Denise Gierok and Molly Privette. Our first grade teachers' daily schedules can be found in the contact information section.

Our first grade experience is deep and varied. Students spend time in the school computer lab, learn typing skills, and continue to read 25 books a year. Students learn more math and science skills.

All first graders will learn the following skills at Sheridan.  Teachers differ in how the knowledge is presented, and go into other subjects in addition to the ones presented here, but the following is a simple framework on our first grade experience.
