Sheridan Elementary School offers
English Language Learner (ELL) services. Students initially qualify for ELL if
they indicate that a language other than English is spoken in the home on the
Home Language Questionnaire (HLQ). Approximately one third of Sheridan’s
students make use of our ELL services.
Language Learners are supported in
their classroom work primarily by ELL instructors that work side by side in
collaboration with the classroom teachers. Britta Wicklund is Sheridan's
primary level instructor. She works with students in kindergarten, first and
second grades. Erica Edwardson supports students in grades three through six.
